Bāghorama Landscape Architects is a young design practice based in Pune, India. We are a group of three passionate landscape architects who see ourselves as innovative and inventive, ever willing to take on new challenges, and most importantly, capable of personifying these qualities through our works.
Overview
B ā g h o r a m a , as the name suggests is all about gardens (Bāgh). The garden is the most basic manifestation of Landscape.
At B ā g h o r a m a , we seek to embody Landscapes at all scales, from a small terrace garden, to vast campuses and estates. Each of these manifestations is, in essence a Bāgh.
We believe in creating Landscapes as windows to the natural world, as places and spaces that are ever-changing, temporal and unique to every project.
Landscape and People have been inextricably connected with each other since times immemorial. By studying this connection through research and reading, and learning from it, we strive to develop ideas and derivations into our designs. This makes our designs products of creativity, backed with a keen understanding of the value systems embedded in the context of every project.
Culture and way of life resides in the smallest of small families, and influences virtually all the choices, decisions and thinking. By understanding these influences and the way they change with place, we strive to maximize our designs’ response to the users’ needs.

Nikhil Raut is a Landscape Architect and founder of Bāghorama. He heads the design and technical side of Bāghorama projects, from schematic design to implementation, and brings a distinct indian flavour to developments of every style and scale.
Nikhil Raut completed his Bachelor’s degree from MIT College of Architecture, Aurangabad in 2008. For 1 and half year he worked in m/s Prabhakar B. Bhagwat, Ahmedabad.
Nikhil then completed Masters in Landscape Architecture from CEPT UNIVERSITY, Ahmedabad in 2012. After completing master’s Nikhil joined STUDIO COLLABORATIVE, Pune as a Project Landscape Architect for 3 years before co founding Bāghorama in 2013.
Ketaki Godbole-Randiwe is a Landscape Architect and founder of Bāghorama. She directs the design of Bāghorama projects, from schematic design to implementation, and brings a distinct quirky quality to the project.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree from BN College of Architecture, Pune in 2009. After gaining an experience of 1 year as a junior architect, she then completed Masters in Landscape Architecture from CEPT UNIVERSITY, Ahmedabad. In 2012, she joined STUDIO COLLABORATIVE, Pune as a Project Landscape Architect for 3 years before co founding Bāghorama in 2013.
Ajinkya Chavan is a Landscape Architect and founder of Bāghorama. He is a great visualiser and loves to sketch his designs before turning them into drawings.
Ajinkya Chavan completed his Bachelor’s degree from SPSMBH’s College of Architecture, Kolhapur in 2009. For a year he worked with Swapnil Architects, Kolhapur. After completing his Masters in Landscape Architecture from CEPT UNIVERSITY, Ahmedabad in 2012, Ajinkya then joined ROOTS LANDSCAPE Architects,Pune as a Project Landscape Architect for 3 years. Ajinkya joined as the co founder of Bāghorama in 2015.
